Muhammad Umar is a Registered Psychologist and the Director of MIND-TRACT Psychology. He is also a Registered Social Worker in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. He has been working in the field of social work and mental health since 2013 in various roles. Muhammad specializes in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma/PTSD. He speaks Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu fluently.
With evidence-based clinical expertise and genuine care, he serves youth and adults with an array of mental, emotional, social, and behavioural issues. His aim in therapy is to empower his clients by empathically listening to their presenting issues/problems and providing them with evidence-based strategies to help resolve those issues.

Dr. Teenu Tellence, MSW, RSW, PhD is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a wealth of experience in the field of social work and gerontology. Holding a Doctoral degree specialized in Gerontology and a Master of Social Work (MSW), she has established herself as a trusted expert in
guiding individuals through their healing journey. With a collaborative and strengths-based approach, Dr. Tellence is passionate about assisting clients in identifying solutions to a wide range of issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, domestic violence, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, loss and grief, self-image and self-esteem
issues, trauma, and PTSD. Her extensive clinical experience spans working with individuals and groups across the life span, showcasing her understanding of the unique challenges
faced by different age groups. Dr. Tellence is well-versed in therapeutic interventions and methods, including Crisis Intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Couples Counseling, Stress Management, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Practice, Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Amara Samad is a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers with an Authorized Practice Endorsement. Amara graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from University of Regina, Saskatchewan. She has several years of experience working with diverse groups within non-profit organizations and Government of Saskatchewan.
Amara is dedicated to providing high-quality care and essential mental health support for those in need using an eclectic approach. She provides a safe, inviting and respectful environment for her clients. She has training in a range of evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Therapy. She specializes in providing counselling services to those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, managing work-life balance, major life transitions, and relationship issues or family concerns. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy built on trust and openness, and tailor each session specifically to clients’ needs, wants, and goals.

Parmpreet Sandhu is a registered social worker in Alberta and Ontario. She has completed her Master of Social Work from University of Toronto. As a mental health therapist, Parmpreet specializes in working with children and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, post-migration stressors, parent-child conflict, parental alienation, child welfare involvement, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, anger and stress management. She utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities such as Narrative therapy, Reunification Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused, Solution-Focused, Mindfulness and play therapy from a strengths-based, anti-oppressive and trauma informed lens.
Parmpreet strongly believes that therapeutic practices should be catered to the unique needs of clients. She actively makes efforts to bring a holistic and a culturally sensitive approach into her therapeutic space while affirming diverse lived experiences and identities. She hopes to work with clients to support their goals and healing through resilience building, compassion, and empathy in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Shamaila Mir is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and registered with the Alberta Counselling Therapy Association (ACTA). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and has several years of experience working in the mental health field. Shamaila has worked with diverse populations across various settings, supporting individuals, couples, families, and older adults with a range of mental health concerns. Her experience also includes working as an outreach worker with vulnerable elderly clients and as an addictions counsellor, which has strengthened her ability to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Shamaila is dedicated to providing high-quality care and meaningful mental health support using an integrative and client-centered approach. She is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. Zona is a Psychometrician for Mind-Tract Psychology under the supervision of our registered psychologists. Zona graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan.
Zona has several years of experience working with diverse populations in both psychological research and practice. Previously, she has held roles as an Instructor Therapist and Mentoring Coordinator providing intensive behavioral interventions and mentoring relationships for children with various behavioral and developmental needs (i.e. ASD, ADHD, GDD). With a deep-rooted passion for eliminating health-related inequalities, Zona has also assisted in clinical and social programming support to individuals and communities (i.e. Indigenous communities) affected by the social determinants of health. Currently, Zona works as a Research Assistant in the Aging, Residents, and Caregiver (ARC) Lab at the University of Regina. In this role, Zona assists with multiple studies examining the influence of psychosocial and psycho-cultural factors on aging, pain, and minority mental health.
With a deep-rooted passion for mental health and well-being, Zona looks forward to furthering her education within the field of clinical and/or counseling psychology. Driven by her current research pursuits and experiences, Zona is particularly interested in minority mental health with a focus on chronic pain and trauma.

Gina Al-Aswad holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Guelph and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Precision Medicine at the University of Calgary. She is a member of the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network (PGRN), reflecting her strong interest in personalized and equitable healthcare.
She has experience in medical and community pharmacy settings, supporting patient care and observing clinical practice, along with research and community-based work with children with diverse developmental needs. Gina is particularly passionate about pharmacogenomics, bioethics, and mental health, with a focus on improving treatment outcomes and reducing adverse drug reactions.
Known for her analytical skills, adaptability, and compassionate approach, she is committed to advancing equitable healthcare and contributing to multidisciplinary teams.
